It seems as if Bronco Model want to take the M24 Chaffee as far as they can. Here's ANOTHER...
It appears as if two 1/35th Scale models will be released at the same time. The second will be;

CB35068 - Light Tank M-24 (British Army).

Let's see if that's the last. Personally I doubt it...

Our thanks to Bronco for the Update!

Yes it would, so I think you'd better send Bronco an email to that effect and when you get it pass it on to Steve.

Jim, you should be thankful to Bronco for giving you the opportunity to provide feedback by way of the forum. Steve should be somewhat happy that a model company has decided to use his Father's vehicle.

Well, you know, funny that, but I already did that on saturday and, I included Steve's e-mail as well so Bronco could contact him directly if there were any further questions. I could have cc'ed it to Steve as well but i've been asked to keep company e-mails as confidential as possible. I even scanned the relevant part of the Osprey book to make the corrections even clearer. Only a small part of the e-mail was put up here...

Completely agree. It's one thing when there's a vague, almost 'generic' vehicle as the subject, when detail like this can be presented it's extraordinary. I've rarelyseen any subject having been so well documented. Like the provenanace of expensive antiques - when the creator include a cerificate of authenticity?

In my opinion, it just came across as rather rude to request a thank-you from Steve. I don't believe I'm the only one to see it like that.

C'mon guys, there's no need to get into a mudslinging match about this. Of course I'm grateful for your efforts in contacting Bronco. I havent had much time at the computer this weekend otherwise I would have said something earlier........

Steve, it's simply that you might not have got through to the relevant people. When dealing with the Chinese companies, there's frequently a problem with getting the person in the company who speaks english. Not that that, in itself is a solution, I really wish we had some chinese speakers on staff who could pass the information through with as few translation problems as possible. You may be in luck, as I doubt if the decals are anywhere near ready, so hopefully they'll have time to consider and make any relevant changes. Anything I get back, i'll pass straight onto you.

This is a very good example of Bronco listening to ways to improve its product. Well done.

Well having just recieved this kit I will echo everyones remarks regarding the kit itself - Pure Dead brilliant. Is it perfect? No, there are a number of things that could have been done better. Despite the efforts to get the correct info to Bronco from Steve and Jim they fail to recognize Chieftain as 13/18th Hussars but they did correct the markings. Another two marking optionssupplied are just wrong to me with units in the wrong formations, seniority etc: There are 5 options: 1. HQ Tp 5RTR22 AB 7 AD Germany 45. "Kelly' Aye" T 330415 Overall OD 2. C Sqn Recce Regt 5 ID 1946 "Chieftain" T330512 Overall OD 3. Newly Delivered for Evaluation Winter 44 England T330411 Overall OD 4. 3 RTR 22 AB 7AD 1944 - "ANNE" T 441275 Shown in the colour guide as a Dk Grey but tells you to paint OD 5. 1 RTR 22 AB 7AD 1945 - "Trigger Happy" T330553 Nice to get five choices however there appears to be quite a few serious errors particularly with Formation and Aos in these two options. 1. 5 RTR was the junior Regt in the Bde yet the Aos is 52 (1 RTR) when it should be 53. The Tac Marking is in Yellow (1 RTR Snr Regt?) 2. The Recce Regiment was 13/18th Hussars but the markings appear correct 4. 3 RTR by my reckoning (and I am happy to be corrected)was the second Regt of 11 AD in 1945 and not in 7AD. The grey scheme is intriguing even though it tells you to use OD. Additionally the Tac marking in Red (5 inside a Square) 5 TP Bsqn (?)should be in Yellow being the Second Regt. The T Number range seems to me to be far removed from the original range considering only 302 were recieved (speculation until I find the number breakup which I have somewhere) Schemes 2,3 and 5 seem OK (with the exception of not identifying 2 as 13/18Hussars) These are not insurmountable problems but very confusing and a pitfall to the unaware modeller. I am very satisfied with this kit and plan to do a Guards one from it so it is no big deal to me and the decals will come in handy for other projects. I'd be interested to hear others opinions on the markings. Al
