One area where dioramas often lack is the small details of the fixtures. This is especially true with things like doors, windows and shutters. They usually come without any means for holding them on, or else the hinges are grossly out-of-scale, especially in thickness.
Matho Models has been releasing a series of detailing photo etch sets, and has two hinge sets currently in release. Set A is reviewed here, and has a series of hinges that would work well for doors or gates.
what you get
Inside the usual Matho Models Ziploc baggie stapled to a pasteboard card is a single fret of PE with three sets of hinges:
1 set of 7 gate or large door hinges
1 set of 9 small gate or door hinges
1 set of two door or small shutter hinges
the review
This is going to be another candidate for shortest review ever on Armorama because THEY'RE HINGES, PEOPLE. There isn't a lot to say about them, other than the details are crisp and to-scale. If you're building one of MiniArt's buildings, they are the perfect upgrade to their too-thick styrene ones.
conclusion
They're hinges, folks. Don't let this get you too worked up, but if you want greater realism in your dioramas, these are for you.
