Tankograd Publishing has released the second Militär Fahrzeug of 2019. This is a quarterly magazine from Tankograd publishing whose title means Military vehicle in English. This magazine covers a wide spectrum of interests in a Military vain covering vehicles from many periods and countries along with a roundup of news, events and museums.
Review
This magazine is printed in a portrait style with a light card cover with a gloss finish and the cover will hold up to reasonable handling. The paper inside is of a good quality as magazines go and also has a semi gloss finish that displays the photographs well. This offering provides 56 such pages and should have something for everyone. The text is only in German which is a shame but not the end of the world.
The articles in this offering are as follows:
Bundeswehr / NATO maneuver: Trident Juncture 2018
German armaments products Army: KÄFER "afterburner"
Vehicle History of the Wehrmacht: JAGDPANTHER Restoration
Museums Events Collector's Scene: Iowa Gold Star Museum
U.S. Army: M1296 Stryker DRAGOON
Imperial German Army 1st WW: AUTOCANNONE 102/35 SPA 9000C
NATO maneuver: Hedgehog / Siil 2018
Museums Events Collector's Scene: Museé Guerre & Paix en Ardennes
History of the Bundeswehr: Early Years
Weapon systems of the Bundeswehr: 5-ton truck legend "EMMA"
British Army: eFP Battle Group Estonia
Museum Events Collector's Scene: Army History Museum Vienna
Being written in German does have some benefit in that it is usually possible to get a good idea of what is written due to a lot of German being similar to English. The pictures speak for themselves regardless of your native tongue and the pictures are very good for the most part except where the time period and limitations in choice have been restrictive. The article on the Jagd Panther Restoration being particularly interesting to me as I have always felt that the Panther family of vehicles are the most visually pleasing of the period and were stunning examples of armoured vehicles. I also like these magazines as they usually cover in a shorter way the vehicles of the upcoming or published books released each quarter.
Conclusion
These magazines from Tankograd Publishing represent an easy and affordable way to build up a reference library for your modelling. Covering such a wide number of topics means there are usually a few articles to grab your attention. The only negative to these titles is the German only text, but we cannot have everything. Well worth the cost.

I have been building model kits since the early 70’s starting with Airfix kits of mostly aircraft, then progressing to the point I am at now building predominantly armour kits from all countries and time periods. Living in the middle of Salisbury plain since the 70’s, I have had lots of opportunitie...
The article on the Jagdpanther restoration already got my senses tingling! Hopefully they'll publish a Haynes manual like the excellent Tiger I book that Bovington co-opted on.
