Matho Models created House Numbers, a 1/35 sheet of decals allowing modelers to enhance their buildings with another level of authenticity. It is Article code 35098.
The Set
Dozens of numbers and several styles and sizes are provided. Matho Models even includes blank backgrounds and individual numbers so you can create your own.
Most of the house numbers are just numbers although several have street addresses. Those addresses are printed for Belgium, Dutch, English, French, and German language addresses.
These decals are very thin with virtually no excess carrier film extending from the printed area.
These are marketed to 1/35 modelers but they can be used for any scale, within reason. I applied mine to a 1/35 building, and two 1/87 (HO) buildings.
Printing
Matho Models' printing is second to none. The ink is opaque and vivid. Borders between colors are razor sharp.
Application
Matho Models' website is very informative. For those inexperienced with decals, several steps are presented.
House Numbers soak for a very short time, about 10 seconds. The decals slid off the backing without hesitation, did not curl around my brush or tweezers, and settled easily to the surfaces. Decal setting solution is recommended but I used none.
I applied my decals upon three painted surfaces: ceramic; plaster; resin. Adhesion is excellent.
Conclusion
Matho Models' House Numbers are a versatile set with a generous number of excellent decals. One set should afford modelers a supply of House Numbers that will take a long time to use up.
They are easy to use and feature crisp, opaque printing. Road names are offered in several languages. The decal carrier film is thin and does not wrap around tweezers or brushes.
I have no meaningful complaint about these decals and happily recommend this product.

My first model was an AMT semi dump truck. Then Monogram's Lunar Lander right after the lunar landing. Next, Revell's 1/32 Bf-109G...cried havoc and released the dogs of modeling!

Good review, Fred. This stuff isn't new, but the companies who offer it are mostly small and hard-to-find, so it's good to have another source for details that really make any dio pop.
