introduction
Armor Farm are new company entering the natural foliage arena with many new products geared towards the vignette/diorama builders. I picked up their products at the recent AMPSEAST show.

I figured the best way to do a review of their various products would to be actually use them, so I decided to make a small base. (See photos for the many products I used)
I started off with a small wooden base and LIGHTWEIGHT WALL FILLER I had laying around. While the filler was still wet, I pushed in some railroad ballast and used a caliber 35 boot stamp. After it was dried, I painted it using craft store acrylics.
(At this point I would suggest that you watch the how to videos on the Armor Farm web site:

I then applied my favorite Static grass, SILFLOR in 4mm and 6mm lengths, applied with my GRASSTECH static grass applicator.
After this was dried, I started adding the ARMOR FARM GRASS. These are little bunches of long grass. I dyed them green using some green ink, and installed them into holes made with one of my burnishing tools. (The nice part of using the lightweight wall filler is it dries soft enough to push a hole in instead of having to drill them.) I used TACKY GLUE to attach all the Armor Farm products.
I then started to attach the WEEDS to the base. After cutting them up into smaller pieces, I attached them to holes I made in the ground work. I then let it dry overnight, as I did with each step.
Next applied were the SHRUBS, again cutting each larger piece into smaller pieces and applied the same way as before, (all the products were added the same way, cut into smaller pieces, punch a hole, glue in place, let dry over night between steps.)
Next I added the WILD FLOWERS, then BUSHES, SAPLINGS and GARDEN FLOWERS. Then I added the HAY, GRAIN, WHEAT, BARLEY, in various amounts until I was happy with the look. Finally I sprinkled some of the FORREST LITTER, and a little brown pigment on the ground.
I enjoyed building this base, and feel it turned out looking good. Others with more experience than I have should not have any problems with these products.
Things I would do different next time. I would use some inks or washes to get more various tones to some of the products. I'd also use a little paint to vary the colors of the Garden Flowers, and since the Shrubs have little bud like ends, I'd paint some of these also.
One question I've seen asked is how much do you get? Well for my base I used just one or two of each product, barely putting a dent into any of the packages.
