WoW! I've checked out your site and you are a well rounded type of modeller. All types, ships planes etc. All are very very beautiful. I see I have lot to catch up on. Great job on this build. It's really beautiful.

Frank, your model is fantastic. The paint job is what makes it great. I particularly like the exhaust stains behind the mufflers and the depth of the paint job over all. Great work! Can you please tell us your technique for finishing your tracks? They look awesome as well!

Nice, straightforward build and paint job. These KV's lend themselves nicely to showing modelers skills in both basic(yet skilled) building and painting, weathering and demonstration purposes. Good job.

Thanks for the kind comments.
Armorguy,... the tracks are spray painted with an acrylic flat black, and then resprayed repeatedly in random patterns with a very thinned out mix (70-80% Tamiya thinner) of red-brown and a dark grey. The tracks are then highlighted with a light drybrushing with oil paint.

Superb build Frank, I could stare at the paint job for hours, it looks so realistic. What did you use colour wise on the towing eyes, they look as if they have really been cast!

Thanks Brian,
The ' towing eyes' where brush painted with Humbrol Metal Cote (27002) and then airbrushed with a very diluted (80% Tamiya thinner) coat of a dark reddish brown acrylic colour (mix of Tamiya and Polly Scale) sprayed in repeated layers over the brush painted metal paint.

Frank, that is a magnificent KV. The build, the painting and everything else.

Mr Portela your project's are always "coups de coeur" to me ! Paint job is as usual simply outstanding, schemes are simple but incredibly deep and the photos makes it even better...
A lot of great model are just wasted by a paint job too "ringard", your works have something "fresh", thanks for giving us the pleasure to admire such a nice job !
