Great job Jimmy,
I always love your stuff. Your style of weathering is very realistic and portrays even the most basic model in a realistic and exciting guise.
Love it.

Depends on when you are depicting. When I was in 1CAV ('95-'98), we changed the style of our bumper numbers 3 times. Each time a new Division or DIVARTY Commander came on board, he wanted them his way, so we got out the paint and stencils.[/quote]
Yeah I remember those days of changing bumper numbers on a whim.
I've done a little digging and I have found that 2-3 was with 3AD, and not 1AD during ODS
Furthermore, There wasn't any 23rd FA with 1AD during ODS, here is DIVARTY's OoB:
1st Armored Division Artillery
Battery A, 94th Field Artillery [Zirndorf] (MLRS)[During ground offensive under operational control of 4th BN, 27th Field Artillery]
Battery B, 25th Field Artillery [Zirndorf] (Target Acquisition Battery)
2d Battalion, 1st Field Artillery [Zirndorf] (M-109 3x8) [DS 2d Brigade]
3d Battalion, 1st Field Artillery [Bamberg] (M-109 3x8) [DS 3d Brigade]
They also had 2/41FA from 3rd Bde 3AD that replaced 1Bde 1AD
So the bumper numbers are all wrong afterall.
On a side note, how do you like it down here?
And what work of art became of the Bradley parts I sent you way back when?

It is pretty nice here in Montgomery. At least I am in a real town , although there are no hobby shops still. Unfortunately, I haven't done anything with the parts yet. They are still in teh to-do pile. Thanks though.

There is a Hobbytown over in Auburn as well as one up by Birmingham.
The one in Auburn is in a shopping center across from the University Mall on Opelika Rd and E. University Drive.
The one up by Birmingham is actually in Hoover across from Riverchase Galleria Mall off of 459 and U.S. 31. It's next door to a Toys R Us on one side and a Coconuts music store on the other. (This is the better of the two BTW)
There is also a smaller mom and pop store in Pelham just south of Hoover on U.S. 31. This place has more to do with trains though, but they have some kits in stock.
And do you by any chance have a spare commander's hatch and gun ring for a M981?

Thanks for the leads on the shops. I had heard about the HT USA in Auburn, but not the Birmingham shops.
Sorry, no spare M981/M901 TC hatch/gun ring.

Good job on the kit, I saw one of explode at Graf in 83 everything from the road wheels up was gone, duffel bag some how got caught in the fan or on the motor fire started and 8" power and rounds went off I've never seen so many people run so fast in three feet of snow in my life took cover in one of the old bunkers and could hear shrapnel bouncing off the concrete, XO's jeep caught a 10" right in the engine amazing no none was hurt.

Jimmy, great job. I just picked up this kit at AMPS East 2006 and hope to achieve half the results that you did.
Where did you get the parts for the I-beam crane? Any advice on making and mounting the supports in the bed?

Hi guys,
Thank for all your compliments and comments, is always my pleasure to have you to take time out to write...any information update and also some of your comments.
Here are some short brieft of how i built this model, nothing special but some normal and basic spraying jobs and weathering....
Let's start with construction, this new "3 in 1" M548 AFV Club didn't have the tarp like the old M548 AFV Club kit.
I built the tarp support using wires and beam crane are included in the kit, spray a coat of surfacer and follow by desert camo mixture after completed construction.
apply some filter using oil, paint chipping with fine brush and have some under line of yellow color to high light the chipping and follow by "Mig" pigments will do.
For any further information, kindly email me.
Thanks and God bless ! Cheers !!! Happy Modelling !!!
Best regards,
Jimmy Ngo

Hi Barry,
Thank for your feedback, as for Canvas support...you can cut some same size sprue as support pocket and drill out same size as the wires that you are using will do, you can get the crane which included in the kit.
Hope this little info helps... Cheers !!! hope to see your M548 here soon ;-)
Regards,
Jimmy Ngo
