About Charles Reading (CReading)
FROM: CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES

I live in the mountains north of Santa Cruz California. I have been building now since the early 1990's when I rediscovered modeling. Most of my kits are built with dioramas in mind. Good? I think they're great! I also would have thought that out of the 150 people or more that have looked at Charles' pics, a few more would have let him know what they thought, since he went to the trouble of submitting them. Aw! Come on guys! Not just for this On Display feature..............but for all of 'em! A BIG thanks to the guys who've commented so far! Vinnie

Very nice work. But as this is suppose to be about the riders (at least from the title) more pics of the guys, from various angle, would be appreciated.

Hi All........... Jim, this was done years ago and I recently found the photos and Vinnie had asked for submissions. Richard M., The original title was T-34/85 'and' Riders. Somewhere along the line the 'and' got lost!? Anyhow the focal point was to be the tank. JimF, See the above comments to Richard. The model long since been 'retired' (packed away in the depths of the basement) so obtaining more photos are near impossible as things that are archived in the basement often times are never seen again. Psilocyber, The tarp is tissue paper soaked in PVA glue and water then painted olive Andy, The color (if I remember correctly) was Model Masters Acrylic "Dark Green" with several washes of raw umber. I photographed this right after it was built. The tank then went onto a diorama where the road wheels and tracks were weathered to fit into the dio (Berlin street scene) Thanks everyone for the questions and kind comments. Thanks Vinnie. Cheers, Charles
