Thanks Sean,
I never got around to adding some detail.
The Trumpeter kit is a typical case of 'some good, some bad'... The model itself is good, and most of the detail is fine OOB. But the kit suffers from some fit issues, mainly where the rear wall meets the hull sides and roof. Some of the detail parts are far to thick or basic, and this is where the Eduard set shines. The various tie-down hooks around the turret and hull are very poor, as they are just moulded ad small raised nibs. The tie-down rails at the back of the turret are also very poor, and the Eduard replacements make a massive difference.
As for this model, I started this last year, as part of the review of the Eduard set, and then it ended up on the shelf... and got moved about... and I lost some of the bits and pieces.. So that's the reason for the camouflage netting, something which I have stopped adding unless a model goes in a diorama and needs it. Still, I tried a few new techniques (well, for me..) and I'm happy with the result.
Cheers
Henk
