Sherman M4A1 (76) ‘Bonnie’

  • IMG_3723frontcopy1
"Here is my Sherman M4A1 (76) ‘Bonnie’ from the 10th Armour Division, 11th Tank Btn, B Coy, Ardennes 1945. It was built from the old Italeri kit. I used the metal barrel from a Dragon kit and the OVM tools are from Academy. The one-piece track was taken from the Tamiya M4A3E2 kit. The stowage, bed rolls, spare wheel, were taken from various sources (mostly from Academy)."

Hello Ken, again a very nice model. Carefully assembled, clean painted details like tools, spare wheel, rear lamps. The add-ons (wooden boxes, jerry cans etc.) animate this tank much more. The whole paint job with its weahtering is very good...maybe the tracks and suspension are a little bit too clean for a tank fought in winter... Looking forward to your next model Graf Spee.

Very Nice finish on one of my favourite kits. Pity you didn't tackle the area around the pistol port. It should be raised like this and not sunken like the model. (pic courtesy of prime portal)

Very nice, especially the whitewash ... very good! Nice that you ditched the kits tracks too (very stiff) for something that gives it a different appearance. As far as the pistol port, that's the way Italeri made it ... sunken in.
