Tamiya's 1/35 Merkava MKI

Putting all the accessories on the turret basket
As is common to the Israeli vehicles, the basket and any other possible place is filled up with personal gear of crew members, and there are so many kind of things you can see on photos that is almost impossible to believe. I used various accessories from my spare parts box (one between thousands) here what counts is your imagination.

Painting and weathering
This model I painted using a mix of Tamiya acrylics (Flat Buff 65% + Flat Grey 30% + Flat Olive Green 5%), after finishing I realized that it was very light and for Israeli military vehicles I paint now, I use the Humbrol H72.
I also applied a drybrushing and also some flat aluminum to metalize the model a little, followed by a more detailed weathering using dry pastels over the entire model.

FINAL COMMENTS

This Tamiya model was one of the first to depict an Israeli tank, and still is a good kit. Not only that, but it represents the first version used in combat. The model is good, but better with some additional improvements. To me it was a pleasure and very fun to build this model. It was the first Israeli military vehicle in my collection. This model took 2nd place on the IPMS/São Paulo in 1998.
