In order to give you some idea of the size of some of these cannons the one depicted in the header picture here is 72 inches from the ground. I would also be very interested if anyone has or is going to attempt a build of one of these. I am unable to provide the exact age of these cannons but I believe it falls between 1800 - 1900 as some do have dates on them.

I bet this was highly decoratively painted in it's original form, would have been pretty fancy most probably.

I find the cannon pictured in the header very interesting as it has Jewish, Arabic, and Indian symbols on it.
