About Istvan Szavai (Peelou75)
FROM: BUDAPEST, HUNGARY

I have started modelling when I was a kid. As it was in the communist era, the subjects were very limited... After a very long pause I was back to my favourite hobby in 2007. Nice finish on the tank. I'm building one myself and see you had the same problem I'm running into with the kit's tracks fitting the front sprockets. Too bad they didn't do a little better molding job on them. But, like I said, nicely done.

Hi Bob, Yes, you right with the sprockets. Luckily it will go into a dio, with broken track on one side, so the tracks was just dryfitted right now, as I haven't decided which side will be the damaged one. The tracks are Friuls, and the sprockets are resin, made by Armo. I have seen some good solution for this fitting problem in the forums here on Armorama, so I plan to fix it.

Looks nice, I happy to see it. Well done Istvan.

I ended up deciding to thin the sprockets and shave the teeth a bit to work with the factory tracks. I figure between that and a buch of superglue I'll get them to sit right.

What kit are we looking at so we may go out and get one too? ~ Jeff

Hi Jeff, This 7TP is an old Mirage kit, but I guess it is still available on the market. The base kit is not the best, so I have used a lot of AM stuff, like Aber photoetch, Armo suspension and metal barrel and Friul tracks. Istvan
