Definitely a medal winner! The E8 is the only Sherman I have not built or is not in my stash, I got confused by the cons of this subject(Dragon?) because of the weld on the hull. Now I will have to get one inspired by your built. Outstanding!

Great job Eric. Can't fault it. I like your four-point philosophy too.

A bump for Christmas, to put it back on page 1 where it belongs.
The way the colours blend together, and then the model itself blends into the groundwork and the base is simply exceptional, nothing jars the eye, even though there is a wide range of colours, deserves to be on the front cover of a model mag tbh.

Being that I am a huge fan of M-4 Shermans and this model is very well done but a question begs to be asked..Why do you have a split loaders hatch on an E8 Sherman?
DEC 30, 2012 - 02:15 AM
They had the split loaders hatch too. The well known Flat foot floogie was one. There's also a pic of one on page 286 of Steve Zaloga's "Armored Thunderbolt"

OK, did not know "Flat Foot Floogie" was a split hatch. Vision has gone down the drain.
