After I came back from a nice model show event, two days of scale modelling fiesta - loads of clubs and even more retailers (nope, did not acquire anything I was very strong and held out very well). Anyway Sunday was beautiful - top notch weather and only around 15 miles away from my home - North East London, here I come.
And now a bit of hot sensations and fresh as fresh could be... So I'll start by saying that the venue was a fairly big. I think maybe about 50 retailers selling models, equipment, etc., and about the same number of clubs that were spread on 2-4 tables each. The number of visitors was quite large, but it was not a crowded feel, just right to be able to move through the hall. The atmosphere very nice and everyone appeared to be in excellent spirits. I have to admit that I am very excited about some of seen work but also shattered by some of the exhibited models. But perhaps it is a norm, they are mixes of amateur works - smeared with heavy brush and examples of art, where you trying hold your breath. A lot of older people (65 +) a very few youth and a large group of people in the 40-50 age group. All of them willing to share some stories and revealing the secrets of scale modelling. I wish only that I had more time, I would gladly have stayed longer at several stands.

Thanks, Christian, for taking these! I loved the woman with the "Creature from the Black Lagoon."
