Very effective weathering. Does it have a full interior? Did you scratch-build any portion of the interior?

Thanks Bill, it has a 1/2+ interior. I added details to the turret (more or less complete), did up the mid-hull and hinted at detail in the radio operator's position, mostly from scratch. I wanted to find out how much of the interior is actually visible through the turret hatches for later projects. Kimmo

Thanks, Kimmo. I won't do open hatches on anything that doesn't have a 100% interior as IPMS judges will shine flashlights inside and mark me down for no interior. It's one reason I rarely enter competitions in the armor category.

That's kind of why I did this. There's quite a bit visible down the right side of the hull through the turret side hatch, more than you would expect. With split hatches or schurzen, I figure roughly half of what can be seen now wouldn't be. The left side isn't nearly as visible, the gun plus mounts etc and forward ammo bin on the floor block off the driver's station almost completely. Kimmo

The first b&w photo looks like something you'd find in a war time archive. The weathering and details you've achieved really show how this pzIV has earned the title of "workhorse of the Wehrmacht." Hope you're planning a desert-themed base for this beauty!!

Thanks for the kind words Jack. I'll get around to doing a base for this at some point. I don't have a permanent work space so trying to find suitable time to muck about is a bit of a challenge. I've gotten fairly proficient at unpacking and packing my tools and paint, but bases need a bit more planning, space and time. Kimmo
