Brian Stevenson shares with us some images of the Renault FT17 currently housed at the George G. Meade Museum at Fort Meade, MD. Brian felt that sharing images of the ‘Five of Hearts’ now was an ideal time due to the release of the Meng Model FT17 with decals for the ‘Five of Hearts’.

Nice job. I wish I'd taken photos of the FT-17 at the Musée de l’Armée in Paris last May.

They are pieces of the large return wheel. Look at pic #8 and you'll see that the large wheel is composed of shaped blocks of wood, some of which are triangular in cross section. These must be spares.
This is a very interesting set of photos - pity I've already built my Meng FT-17 kit
There is also an FT-17 in the Bovington Tank museum in UK.

Actually the wood pieces are the only remaining original woodblocks. The museum saved them when they restored the tank. According to the curator, the colors are not the WWI colors, at some point the Army used the tank to model new camouflage models. The FT-17 actually sat outside the post HQs until the museum restored it and brought in indoors.
