The diorama and model was based on wartime photos of the KV-1 signed "Blood for blood, death for death!". This tank participated in the Winter (or Moscow) counteroffensive of the Red Army in 1941-42 and was lost in February 1942 near Kursk.
The KV-1 model used in this work is Trumpeter's KV-1 with some photo etched and scratch built parts. The figures are primarily from TANK or were sculpted by Andrey Fonin.

Love the snow absolutely! You are truly able to simulate them so cold and scattered well in the overall groundwork, also on the tank and its tracks. Also the incredible work on figures, congratulations mate! Many thanks for sharing, inspiring me so much ^^

Wow! Superb show!!
Even the skin tone suggests the harsh cold! The Balalaika player is really holding the instrument and "playing"....and I could go on for a long time, but other gentlemen have preceded me anyway.
And I can now understand their enthusiasm...because I share it 100%
Congratulations Andrei!!!
Cheers
