Hey Dave,
Looks really good. An excellent job indeed. The only thing to me is, there may not be enough weathering on the tractor's undercarriage. To me, it looks rather clean compared to the rest of the vehicle.
None the less it's a real inspiration for me to continue to improve my skills.

You are very right about the trailer Pascal I guess I am dyslectic at times. Thanks for pointing that out.
It is cleaner than most of my builds but this one was in competition back in the fall of 2003 for the Hobby Town USA Nationals (I won best military by the way) and I did not want to cover up any of the undercarriage detail. The chassis has a dusting of dirt on it. Much the way it would have looked after being cleaned. The tires are made to look weather beaten. It is modeled after one of the different trucks I drove in Nam. I kept them as clean as I could. This load is going to Tay Ninh providence in Dec 67. We were lucky to have blacktop roads in are area of operations. Even our Base camp of Cu Chi had some of the roads asphalted.

Hey Dave,
I know it's a year and a half late , but congratulations on your win.
After all that work, it would be hard to cover it up with weathering. Thanks for sharing

Big Brother Dave - you already know I like this one!
I like it too much, when I look at it I get all distracted. I don't have a rig like this in my personal model collection. When I see yours I just want to build one too!

Thanks for the kind replies guys. Thanks Joe that was a hard competition that year. I did not think that I had a chance to win. Our own Guntruck (Gunnie) was in contention for the honor also. His entry was one superb build. So It was a humbling experience for me.
I will not be surprised when we see some photos of your build. I have a place on the shelf for it when you complete it. LOL :-)

Dave,
Photos of my build? Is that shelf in the closet or basement?
