This is Stefan Halter's Tamiya 1/35 Matilda, he encountered no problems during assembly and only left off the side skirts in order to paint the tracks.Stefan replicated the Caunter Schemes using Tamiya acrylics. As this vehicle had seen a little service Stefan added a number of chips using dark grey paint applied using a small sponge. The Matilda was finally weathered using MIG Productions pigments.

Overall, I very nice build, although I think the stowage would benefit from a dark wash and some more dust. Are the tracks the original Tamiya PV bands?
Inspires me to try one of my own!

Brian, thanks for getting this up.
Mark, I agree, the stowage ist the weak point here. This one started out as something easy to build after trying my hands on a WWI fighter (Spad XIII) with full rigging. Tamiya is always the choice for easy builds. Then I built and painted the Cruiser in parallel. I called it "Cauntering the Builder's Block"
Cheers!

Hi Stefan,
Excellent work on the Matilda. I agree about the stowage needing a bit more work and if I'm looking at the figure properly the top appears to be a BD tunic and would be brownish whilst the trousers could be either.
The vehicle itself looks class.
Cheers
Al

Thanks Alan. The figure is actually from the Bronco Humber and not intended with the Matilda, more to give some impression of scale as I took the pics before finisheing the Tamiya supplied figures.
