MC Leung one of our members from Hong Kong, share with us some images of his latest diorama titled ’ I’ve got one’. In this diorama a GI show off his iron cross medal to a group of German POW’s at the beginning of “Operation Cobra” somewhere in a small village of Normandy. The Sherman is from Dragon, figures from Dragon and MB model with hornet heads added. The motorbike is an old product from Tamiya. I build the small corner of house from scratch.

MC; your diorama is excellent. I like that you put some of the GIs in the short-lived camouflage battledress. The story is good - Germans beaten and despondent, Germans proud. Victorious Allies, who would rather not be there in the first place yet proud, hopeful that the end of the war is nearer with every German POW that marches by.

Fantastic diorama with loads of detail and the cammo uniforms on some GIs is spot on. The face of the German glaring at the GI with the iron cross is outstanding. I like the stowage and the chair is excellent. I've done that a couple of times myself on some Shermans. The tankers are great, lots of personality. A couple of comments: the tank is far too clean after at least two months of combat and the German uniforms are a little to similar, more fading and tattered and some cammo smocks would have been cool. Still, one of the best dios I have seen in a long time. Well done

I fully concur with Mike's assessment! There is a lot of quality in this little scene for sure!! And the facial expressions are telling a story, a thing seldom seen done so well in dios!! German uniforms would definitely benefit from more colour diversity! Nevertheless, biiig congratulations!!! Great show indeed!!! Cheers Romain

I like the transition of the grass on the road side from short too long, Looks very realistic to me. Nice work.

And a little dirt on the uniforms as well. One of the little things that came to me after I thought about it for a bit was the lack of secondary grunge. Take the German soldier in front, with the bandaged wound on his forearm. If he'd been wearing that jacket when he was wounded, I would expect to see some indication of a bloodstain on the sleeve, and possibly a bullet hole, depending on the origin of the wound. It's a little thing -- the jacket could have been taken from someone else -- but showing that the soldier bled into his jacket before being treated adds a little more depth to the backstory. And it's still a great deal better than I can do.
