Panzer III's are probably my favorite tank, and yours is very nicely done, Kimmo. The camo is really cool. Only one thing looks odd. In photo #4 facing the rear of the tank, the decals appear a bit too "bright & clean" compared to the overall look of the vehicle. Might be the lighting during the photo-taking.

Thanks Jack. The decals were a bit too fluorescent to begin with. I toned them down a touch with red but probably not enough, the lighting doesn't help much either. I wanted to give the impression of a new tank having just gone through a good stretch of dirt as opposed to dusty conditions so the top half should be relatively clean. The tank is supposed to be a new arrival for the battle of Kursk but isn't quite accurate OOB. This was also a bit of an exercise in trying to do soft edge camo with a brush, sponge and filters and to try a more in depth approach to the overall paint job by using 3 distinct base shades and then hitting highlights with yet another shade. I think the soft edge technique needs a little work but it's a good first effort to continue with the next time around.

Kimmo,
My favorite panzer! Looks great. I like the particular camouflage.

Thanks Frederick. I had to do that one, I've always found it so different and neat looking. It's not 100% accurate, but I won't tell if you don't.

Thanks David. I used Vallejos: Middlestone, Burnt Umber and German Dark Green Camo. I also did some shading with Green Brown for the shadows and a lightened up Middlestone for the horizontal surfaces to give it some depth before the camo and then picked out some more highlights. I'm quite pleased with the end result.
