T-90s Conversion

This is the Tamiya’s 1/35 T-721M converted to a T-90S using the Terre Model conversion kit and Friulmodel T-72 tracks. The actual upgrade for the tank gave it more defensive measures against anti armor weapons, Reactive armor, infrared jammers, and a laser warning system. The model was painted with Humbrol and Model Master Paints and weathered with Mig production pastels.

Photograph No. 2- shows the difference between the conversion kit and the scratch built modifications.

Photographs Nos.3, 4 – compare the difference between the conversion kit’s frontal armor to the scratch built frontal armor.

Photograph No. 6- Note the infrared jammers mounted on opposite sides of the main 125mm gun.

Photograph No. 8 -The extra storage bin is a copy made from the original kit part using Ace resin and then modified to a shorter container.

Very nice conversion. You did a great job on the conversion and the paint job is first class. Bravo

If you don't mind me adding something for a future build. On your T-90 road wheels are early style of T-72. As T-90 modified T-72 and it had late style road wheels.
