MAZ 537

Maxime Lévesque used the MAZ 537 from Trumpeter for this project and the images say to me that he did a very good job. The model has been painted with Vallejo paints, the weathering has been done using oils and MIG production washes pigments.

Nicely done! FYI this is a private exhibition piece - text on the front says it is forbidden to climb on the vehicle.

Love it. Great example of a Russian heavy haul power unit. 2360 Cubic in V12 diesel and can haul Russias' main battle tank and medium tanks. I'm sure like most Russian MVs it could haul a lot more than rated capacity if needed in a tactical situation.

........continuing 'cause I hit enter before I was through commenting........The fire ex is correctly colored. In service they are red. Additionally the small hools on the front bumper are correctly installed. Have no idea why the outboard hooks throats are facing forward. THe front bumper is correctly profiled but photos of some units show an I beam rater than a channel iron piece. Typical Russian application, not fancy, but tough.

....Darn.... Hools and rater... you kow what I meant. Some photos show a cable wrapped around the front bumper and hooked to the front pintle hook. (not hool). You might want to represent grease on the fifth (ninth?) wheel and ramps and around the U joints. Typically those areas are greasy. .....No. I do not have a Twitter account and am conditioned to hitting enter or submit after keying 140 characters. Very nice work on a very cool vehicle.
