The model kit George used for this build is the Tamiya Leopard kit. This build started out as just an idea and more of a "what if" then anything. He used Tamiya paints and Mig weathering products. The kit went together very easily, and as with most Tamiya kits, gave me no real problems. George ran into some slight issues with the baskets on the turret, but after some simple modifications, he was able to get everything lined up and looking good. The UN markings were applied with Eduard masks, and then he sprayed NATO Black for the letters. George pre-shaded the entire model with flat and NATO black, then shot Tamiya flat white over that. He made sure to cover the whole leopard well; a lot of the pre-shading was lost at this point. To get back on course, he just used regular flat black to go back over some of the panels and lines.
Moving on to the weathering, which was actually pretty basic. he mixed up some browns, and tans, then just started low and worked his way up the model, making dark and light areas come together. Once he was happy with that, he used MIG weathering pigments, and just applied them with a brush. George then applied them dry and did not use any pigment fixers and or any washes.
