Hey Miklos
What a beauty! Hope you bring it to Randers in April. Just please don't enter the competition, because then we won't have a chance of winning

I live in Upstate New York, about 12 miles from the Pennsylvania Border- Miklos' Cat D7's weathering is remarkably similar (and REALISTIC) to the kind of NORMAL weathering I see on the REAL Cats, John Deere Crawlers & Loaders, Excavators, Log Skidders, Internationals, Cases, Timberjacks, etc, in this "ice-box" of an area that I live in!
BTW, "Crawler" is actual John Deere terminology for a "Dozer"- I worked for a John Deere dealer that sold and serviced just about every kind of John Deere piece of machinery made during my tenure there, from the Autumn of 1986 to the Spring of 1993. I worked as Parts Manager, and Service Writer. Boy, did I learn A LOT!!! You'd be surprised how much technical knowledge I picked up from working so closely with the Mechanics in our shop!
We had several Master Mechanics, one of which was so GOOD at his trade that the Service and Engineering people at John Deere ( Columbus, Ottumwa, Des Moines, and Waterloo would call Donny to get technical information when they had problems that stumped everyone else! I could tell you stories! But back to the subject at hand-
You wouldn't BELIEVE how quickly the weather takes it's toll on Construction, Industrial, Logging and Farming Equipment in this area, and by the hard, every day-work that all of this varied machinery is subjected to! Miklos' careful attention to detail, and the weathering that has "taken place" on this Caterpillar D7, is OUTSTANDING!!!
Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!
PS- A side comment; This kind of weathering is entirely appropriate in a civilian environment that is subject to extremes in weather and rough usage by the Owner/Operators. Even in battle conditions, military vehicles seldom see this kind of weathering, except if they have been destroyed and have been lying derelict in a field or partially submerged in the Ocean for quite some time. No self-respecting Motor-Pool Sergeant would ever let his Equipment get this dirty or rusty!
Once Again- BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!

Great work Miklos! Spent zillions of hours around equipment like this in the Greatland and I have to say you nailed it. Excellent work and done in the just right proportions in the right areas. Very tricky that but you pulled it off amazingly well.
