Enemy Chieftain

  • move
This is Ivan's first submission to Armorama. He started with the Tamiya Chieftain and used the Cast Off Models conversion to convert the vehicle to a later version. Ivan enhanced the kit using Fruil tracks and a crew from Accurate Armour.

Ivan painted the vehicle to represent one of the last tanks, prior to their replacement to be used by the OPFPR (Opposing Force) based at the Combined Arms Training Centre at Warminster, which is on the edge of the Salisbury Plain Training Area.. All of the CATC vehicles are painted in in NATO Green and Sand. Decals came from the spares box and are accurate for the CATC Battlegroup vehicles.

Very nicely done! What I find most appealing is the pattern and colors you chose for the camo. To me it does exactly what camo is supposed to do,, break up the shape & silhouette of the vehicle.
