Panzer III Ausf L

a photo feature by Michael of a Tamiya, Inc. kit

Michael used the Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf.L he improved the welds and replaced handrials using wire. He added the missing wiring for the headlamp and added etched grills from World Model. Further details were added including etch for the commanders sight, glazing for the periscopes and weapon barrels from RB Model. The rear stowage rack was made from photo etch and plastic sheet, the stowage came from Tamiya and RB Model including the tow rope. Finally Michael painted the Panzer III was completed using Tamiya acrylics.

Excellent! Love the weathering! I'm not overly knowledgeable about other paints used over the Pz Gray. Is there much anecdotal evidence of it out there besides winter whitening? Again...fantastic! Gaz

Very nice build. The green over panzer gray is an interesting variation. Are those the kit tracks or AM? The bright red rust on the spare tracks is the one thing that looks out of place, imho.
