This figure represents a paratrooper during the German invasion in The Netherlands, 4-5 May 1940. The Waalhaven is one of the commercial docks in Rotterdam, close to important bridges which connect the northern part of western Holland to the western southern part. Some figure painters should not be allowed to show their models! Their standards are that high that we all feel bottom line amateurs. Whow! What a quality is shown. Superb. Having gone through the internet one sees a lot more asthonising models! Looking forward to see more.
