The M1 Abrams is a combat tank designed and manufactured by the United States; Employed by the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps since 1981, it has played an active role during the Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom operations, demonstrating its superiority over armored opponents. Originally equipped with a 105mm M68 cannon (English L7), it then received the 120mm M256 (Leopard 2 Rheinmetall), a much more powerful gun, as well as FSDS ammunition with depleted uranium core. The 1500 hp gas turbine engine is the only Western design of this type, with both turbo and diesel engines. More than 7,000 units have been manufactured for the US Army / ANG / Reserves only, while more have been exported to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Nice work, Italeri did make a design error though; the four grills that remain on the tank are in reality, attached to the removable back deck engine cover. The APU on the rear hull was discontinued after Desert Storm, but the soldiers are wearing OIF body armor.
