1⁄1WW2 Fire Fighting and On

Here we have a good number of pictures of firefighter’s uniforms and equipment used during World War Two and after. It should be noted that this is a private collection of a local fire department, most of the items were donations from collectors and firemen and due to this none of the Nazi symbols have been covered over. Due to the issues of NAZI symbology in Germany Hans-Hermann has not supplied details of the collection in order to avoid anyone getting into trouble. It should also be noted that it`s not entirely clear which of the uniforms were used during WWII, but Hans-Hermann hopes it will provide some painting aid for the recently released firefighter figures.

I've got one of those Luftschutzhelms that I got from an uncle on my last trip to Germany! Still looking for a photo showing it in use on the heavy FLAK guns, however. Anyone?

The Luftschutz operated as a civil defense force, post bombing raids rescueing victims, etc..., you'll not find them operating flak, that was for Luftwaffe personnel, by war's end, Hitler Jugend.
