Since the kit is based on the earlier Trumpeter offering (BTR-80) 2 main modifications were needed to produce a standard version A. The first MG port on the right side had to be eliminated and the 4th periscope for the driver had to be added (that needed the modification of the body too). It was built out of box except for the Magic Models barrels and smoke grenade dischargers.
The kit goes together easily, though it has some minor issues:
- Clear parts for the periscopes do not fit properly
- Some missing main weld lines (and many small ones which I did not add)
- Some holes should be filled in from the base kit but there is no mention of it in the instructions
The vehicle was painted with Mig's Light green khaki, slightly chipped, then filtered with light layers and finally weathered with pigments.

Nicely done! I like how clean it is as I'm getting tired of the trend towards over-weathering. Light dusting is all it needed.

Thanks guys...I like to keep it on the moderate side. Thought this is partially because I am still learning advanced weathering techniques.
Cheers,
Adam

Well done. I like the subject (BTRs are so cool looking) and the yellowish green finish looks very unique. I really like the light weathering on the tires.

Yes I echo all the comments, well built kit,and yes it seems the weathering has gone mad in some of the models of today.Cheers
