Klaus received this old Academy kit (Tamiya knock of) as a birthday gift. It was built mostly OOB, with a lot of scratch built improvements, wire antenna, RB Models MG’s for the mantlet and hull, and tow cables made with braided copper wire. Painted with Tamiya and K4 acrylics, weathering with oils and AK Interactive enamels and K4 and Ammo of Mig pigments.
As he is not a regular builder of WWII subjects, Klaus didn’t make any attempt to make the zimmerit, but maybe next time!

Excellent paint job on the vehicle, camo and weathering.
Cheers,

This is really nice, I like the little details like the bucket hanging from the schurtzen frame.

Very nice work Klaus! I like the subtle transition between the camo and rusted areas along the lower section of the plate armor. Very impressive!

Thanks for your comments guys, glad you like it.
I haven’t built a WWII german subject in at least 20 years, so my excuses if it’s not quite correct, but I had a lot of fun finishing it, and trying to overcome the kit lot of problems using home made improvements.
Cheers

Good job. This kit represents the dark age of Academy kit history IMO. But they release their original pz.iv now.
