This is the old Italeri kit (Sd.Kfz 265) Sanitätskraftwagen auf Sd.Kfz 265 ausf. B with tracks from Tristar's Pz.I and metal mg barrel from RB models.

This is really well-done though I would have used the more recent Dragon kit as its basis. Perhaps a medic standing next to it to give a sense of scale of this tiny beast would be a good addition as well.

Really unique and the paint & weathering are top notch! But I agree that one or two figures would have been icing on the cake.

I was just about to ask that. Not a criticism, the work is amazing, just natural curiosity, were/are military medical vehicles ever armed?
Cheers,
Nigel

As I understand it normally you wouldn't be permitted to arm anything carrying the Red Cross, this by international convention. Unfortunately for all concerned that wasn't commonly the case on the Eastern Front where the Soviets typically shot at everything regardless of its markings. The Red Cross with its white background must have made a heck of an aiming point. In response the German ambulances often were either armed or were escorted.

Thanks ! Never too old to learn . The Vietnamese did the same thing to our dust off helicopters and medics. the red cross was nothing yo them !

Nice finish and weathering. I built the DML kit of it in a previous campaign. Curious about the choice of color / shade -- is it supposed to be whitewashed?
