Jeff recently completed a build blog using Academy's T-34/76 from Factory 183. the kit was built basically out of the box, just swapping in MiniArt tracks and some new engine grilles. Painted with his own home brew 4B0 green and weathered with oils, pigments and some washes.

Great finish Jeff, as I said in your build-log I’m mighty impressed by your precision & meticulous construction/painting. I’ll buy those spare links as a field mod (to dodge the apparent fact it was only a post WW2 thing) and even that they were very old spares bolted to a near-new tank, but like the broken record I am I’d still like to see more dirt/dust/stains on it. I really like the final greens around the hull too, I’ve often tried & always failed to nail those tones – bravo

I think that I see the left side spot light so I'm guessing the right side was removed. I agree that it is a really nice build & paint job but, as the Soviets weren't really big on front-line maintenance, I'd also like to see more dirt and scuffing. Remember that when a tank drives a mile it wears the dust of that mile!

Don't get me wrong, though, I like your build and really liked that you apparently mixed your own "Russian Green" and faded it accordingly. I just like dirty tanks -though not especially rusty ones.

A T-34 after 1941 only had one headlight. The other mount is for a radio antenna if so equipped.
Every tank at one point in it's life is brand new. But drive one mile and there's road dust. Just a touch to tell someone drove it, not hammered it into the mud but just a spin around the parking lot.

Thanks all, I am going to be building a T-34/85 soon.
And will use, all the comments that you input, I know I have looked at a lot of T-34 pics, and most were, not in good shape, at all. Actually most were destroyed, what I have gathered is the life of a T-34,was not long on the Eastern front early on, even to the end of the war. I will do more heavy dust on this one and post back latter in the year, still a work in progress.Going to be on a base besides. Keep the input coming in.Some new Mig Ammo stuff showed up today, and Tim Oil paints help a bunch on this paint, shoot a coat of Semi gloss on first ,let dry good, try on scrap plastic, over your base coat. And I am working on that Radio antenna I have the stuff about ready , but as stretched sprue last item that will go on.Keep the input coming in.
Cheers
Also that Top Secret model.
