Ilya used MiniArts T-55A mod.1965 early as the basis for this representation of a vehicle used by AMISOM for peacekeeping duties in Somalia. He added some Takom details, such as tracks as well as some Voyager PE and some scratchbuilding. He achieved the worn UN white paint using both the hairspray technique and brush chipping. The weathering was done in many steps using products by many brands.

Mens magazine on the enginde deck seems to be wrong ... cover should be with an african woman ;-)

Superb build and weathering. Love the rust and grime, it looks very realistic. My only comment would be suggest that it could be dustier to blend with diorama base. Still think it’s great though.
