Very nice work indeed, no matter what scale. Definately gives a nice argument for 1/48th. I may have to try it out someday, of course I have all those 1/35th to do first.

Excellent work Frank! Saw them earlier in your photo gallery and I thought they are 35th. great discpline in painting and "clean" tank. My favorite style! WC

If you did not post what scale these models were, it would be a fair guess to say they could easily have been 1/35th. Very nice work Frank.

Check out the amazing Tamiya T-34 on the front cover of Military in Scale by Luciano Rodrigues (pictures can also be seen on the Track48 site). Apparently, we 1/48 scalers in Southern Ontario are going to be getting some stiff competition from the Spanish. GLenn 1/48-bringing people together !

Hey Jim, I'm sure Frank wouldn't mind the plug for Luciano as Frank and I are part of the great Southern Ontario 1/48 scale cabal, with Garfield as our leader, each dedicated to promoting 1/48 scale. Cheers, Glenn

Hi folks, Thank you all for the kind words,... Mary, ...PM me, and I'll do my best to share with you my techniques, I'm in the process of painting the Tamiya 48th scale Panther and will photograph the steps to help you out. Glenn,... no I don't mind the plug, I know Garfield and highly respect him for all the hard work he has done over at Track 48. Please keep in mind, that while you post messages here at Amorama, you speak as a member of this group and not as a member of Track 48,... your posts here could be misconstrued to be undermining the hard work that people like Jim and Vinnie do for us all. In your militant (but well meaning)stance on 48th scale armour, you could be upsetting a few folks... I have become a member of Armorama for one reason, it affords me the priviledge of having a great amount of reference at my fingertips, about all of my interests in modelling,... 48th scale armour, is just a drop in the bucket of my interests. I build 700 and 350 scale ships I build LeMans cars, F1 cars, rally cars, 35th scale armour, (72nd when I'm really messed up! :-)) 72nd and 48th scale aircraft, and a broad selection of Sci-fi. Armorama, affords me all of this, all under one umbrella,... and all in a friendly atmosphere. I will continue to help Garfield and contribute to his great site, but I will in all honesty spend a lot more time here, using the site, and hopefully contributing to it. thanks, Frank

I would say enthusiastic rather than militant. Still when all is said and done it is exciting to see all the great works of modelling art coming to the fore in this newly re-introduced scale. Glenn
