Bob built this Border Models Panzer IVG straight out of the box, using acrylics (primarily Vallejo) and environmental effects (again Vallejo).
The model represents a Panzer IVG of the 2./SS-Panzer Regiment 1 “Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler” around Kharkov in 1943. Seasonally, the “rasputitza” has set in, hence the melting snow.

Very nice Rob, I enjoyed the amount of weathering you used and I didn't see an overabundance of visible rust like some do. Well done! I'm still waiting for mine to show up from the Chinese site I ordered from. Hopefully soon.

Been wondering how this Border Models kit would build up, and yours looks really good! The weathering & base match up nicely. Not trying to sound nit-picky (and I may be wrong), but it looks like there's an "oops" in photo #5. In the close-up of the exhaust, just to the right of the cross decal, looks like a small dab of orange paint the same color as the exhaust.

It's sort of an "oops." That was where one of the brackets was mounted for holding the tow cable, but it broke off. I decided to leave it as such, simulating rough field handling and the subsequent rusting that would occur where the bare metal was exposed to the elements
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
