1⁄72HobbyBoss Schwerer Gustav

I built this some years ago but it took a while to figure out how to photograph it.
This is the 1/72 HobbyBoss model. It is huge.
I put it on an angle on the base and had to resculpt the beginning and ending of the tracks. Otherwise it is pretty much out of the box and builds well. Scattered around in support and to show the scale of the thing is a Flak 88 from Revell, a Sig 32 from Caeser and a Bren carrier from Airfix. Figures are from Preisier.

Wow! Incredible job Suresh! I had no idea Hobby Boss made this "Braille Scale" kit. Your build makes me want to go get one. And You've done a superb job with the diorama. I have a couple of questions:
1) What size is the base?
2) Did it come with any crew figures, or are all those figures from the other kits you mentioned?

"Wow" sort of sums it up. "Huge" and "well-painted" come in slowly afterwards...

Braille scale is right. I really can't see what I'm doing at this scale and a lot of the painting is by "feel". Still its the only size that will fit on my shelf. FYI Fujimi makes a 1/144 scale Gustav which could b nice.
Base is 80 x 30 cm or the size of a shelf. It does not come with figures but the Preisier figures are very nice with a little bit of repositioning.

Huge and impressive! Excellent work. I have this one in the stash and hope that when I do build and paint it that it comes out at least half as good as yours!!!
