DAK Sd.Kfz 222

Dan built this DAK Sd.Kfz. 222 from the venerable Tamiya kit. He used some Milliput to make the tarp but otherwise it's an OOB build. The 222 is in the early stages of the DAK in 1941 and the yellow paint hasn't faded as you see in later AFVs. Dan used Tamiya acrylics for the entire scene.

Like to build 35 scale ,mostly WW2. Modelling is a welcome relief from the stress of daily work.

Nicely-done piece of nostalgia. Boy, do these look clumsy against more modern offerings. Still, they're a fun build and detailing them is the challenge we all rose to back then when model companies didn't do everything for us.
