Can just second everything said before: Very nicely done! I like those small kind of "in between" projects, still very nicely detailed and taking your time to get it right! I very much like the subtle weathering which adds so much to reality! I enjoyed to watch and want to see more of those nice little gems!

Thank you, I greatly appreciate that! The closest 'in-between' project that's almost done is a flak 88 kit. I will submit it as well if it doesn't disappoint.

I love the build. You can't help but just, love this gun. I mean, look at it. You can definitely see where the Russians got some inspiration for their ZPU-4 from. It was developed right after the war. Anyways, you've done a fantastic job of respecting the kit and not over weathering or going over-board with any particular method. It looks really great. I can almost here that iconic, unmistakable sound -"bhat-bhat-bhat-bhat!" Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Nathan! you’re definitely right about the allure of the gun platform, 4 mean-looking barrels in small gun package. I also appreciate the feedback on the weathering, as it’s something I grapple with personally for almost every model I do (except maybe WWI stuff that saw absolute mud). I tend to focus a lot on the build and use photo etch for most models and I’m very reluctant to start slapping on effects which might hide all the work that went into the build.

Thank you, I appreciate that! I was using the MIG dark brown wash and actually had to add mineral spirit to it for better flow. Not sure if they’ve changed their formulation since, I’ve been using the same bottle for years.

Thank you, Tim! I’m tempted to both make a presentation base for it as well as a crew, but with 6 models in progress I fall short of prioritizing the base and crews. There might just come a time where I get tired of tanks and sit down to paint 15 crew members for various models and a few bases. I’d probably have had time for crews thus far had the quick and dirty projects actually been quick and dirty. This model took a lot longer than I had intended mainly because the guns gave me a lot of trouble and I kept putting off aligning them properly.
