Rodolfo, Exceptional finish, The weathering, esp. rust of the muffler, muted streaking, all makes a very authentic look. What products and techniques did you use? Constructive critique: If it is not to late, try to repaint the SS eagle on the left sleeve of the tank commander - it appears too big. I look forward to your next model!

If it's 2nd Panzer Division, there shouldn't be any SS eagle--it was a Wehrmacht Heer (i.e. regular Army) division. The eagle would be on the right breast of the jacket. There isn't a close-up of the figure, so possibly it's some other insignia?

Very nicely done with one exception: the commander's hat seems to be perched rather high on his head. Also, don't mix and match W-SS with Wehrmacht tank forces.

As usual, never say never! In October, 1944 the famous Tiger B, 332 that is in the museum at Fort Benning, was made and was going to be sent to a Heer division on the eastern front. It was painted expressly for that division and was loaded aboard a train. However, Hitler was rearming the SS for Watch on the Rhine and so the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler seized the Tiger, along with others, which the SS was allowed to do, and Tiger 332 ended up going to the assembly area dressed in Heer markings. I do not know if the markings were changed before the offensive began or not. All the information above is well documented all the way from an Osprey book to Wolfgang Schnider's books, including the name of the commander, Otto Blasé.

Nine King Tigers issued to the Heer 509th Schwere Panzer Abteilung (Heavy Tank Battalion) were transferred to the SS 501st Abteilung in December, 1944, to bring the battalion up to strength for the Ardennes Offensive. The blue turret numbers were added by the 501st, and the 509th didn't use a battalion insignia, so the tank in question had no unusual markings. A small red cross on a white circle painted on the hull side was once thought to be a unit insignia from the 509th. but photos show it was added sometime after capture by the Americans for reasons unknown. The 509th received its full complement of King Tigers within a few weeks, and deployed to Hungary.

Hello friends! Thanks a lot for your kind comment which are very interesting!. Normally I adding the figure as "referencial" for the tank and after of pics I remove it. The raised cap of the figure comes from the factory and I not modified it because I need practice on that and / or change the head.. I am waiting some Alpine and Stalingrad figures, but with the problem of the COVID-19 maybe arrive with a serious delays. Regards! Rodolfo
