I'm currently building a desertised Leclerc by Tamiya with Barrel and photoetch by Lionroar and wondered if anyone knows of where (if possible) I could find improved tracks and accessories?

I've seen Leclerc's with camo netting/sheeting and would like to add them to my build. Is it best to make my own or are there any suitable ones to buy?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Steven.

The tracks on the Tamiya Leclerc kit are really good. There is no need in my opinion to change them.

There are no suitable aftermarket tracks for the Leclerc.

There was some white metal tracks made by Terre Models a few years back but I don't even think they are inproduction anymore.

What kind of accessories are you looking for? There usually isn't a bunch of extra stuff carried on the Leclerc.

You also won't find any suitable aftermarket products to replicate the camouflage nets and camouflage sheets that the French use....you will have to experiment and make them yourself.

Just some thing to think about is that there were only a few French Leclercs painted in the desert tan and brown camouflage....and I believe these were for mainly for desert trials. The majority of French Leclercs that have been in the desert for training have been in the three colour cam and had the tan camouflage netting or tan and brown camouflage sheets added.

All of the images on Olivier's site showing the desert tan and brown Leclercs in the desert are UAE Leclercs...modified from the French Leclerc....hull mounted APU, additional turret stowage racks, remote control turret mounted machine gun, and spare tracks links on the hull front.
