I've met this fellow ... a few times.

Sorry for resurrecting this topic but that was too funny. And the model does look very nice. In what base is that real tank located? Parola?
The only thing that caught my eye is the shininess; at first I thought it was too much but on a closer look you've done a splendid job matching it to the original.

I loove how you did the logs.
Overall, this should be a setpiece to show well weathered piece of equipment the doesn't look like it's ready for the scrap yard. THe slightly bent rails onthe rear deck look like they've been throough the proverbial wringer.
The only problem I see is that the tracks are floating in places in the first picture. They are nice and level but the ground surface isn't. You could hide this with some shrubbery along the edges of the tracks.

Hehe! Itīs not often that old threads like this rise up again!
Thanks for the compliments, this was my first "serious" tank and itīs been in the basement ever since...
Finally I placed a tank commander in the cupola and itīs surprising that I never posted any pics of the finished thing!
I had it on display at Helsinki IPMS and the next day it was broken. Somehow I havenīt found the time or interest to fix it yet...
If I will ever find the time to fix it, Iīll take a few photos and post them here.
Cheers,
Toni

Excellant work, Envar!
What is the texture on the front fender? Is that a version of zimm? I like the look of it.

Very nice work here. Its not too common to see WWII Finnish armor, and this kit makes it very interesting. I think a couple crew figures would make this Stug III come alive.
Outstanding !!!
