I've been digging around a litle bit trying to find how long the T-34 / 85 was used in the mid-east and by who ? So if there are any T-34 experts out there in the know thanks in advance . Later , Toad .

Hi Mate,
Just read your post and it jogged my memory,i seem to remember reading somewhere that the Egyptians were stil using T-34/85`s in their second line stuff during the six day war with Israel in 1967.
Sorry i cant supply you with any links but perhaps a little hunting on the web could provide you with some pictures for that period.

The T34/85 was used by just about everyone in the mid East and Africa.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Israeli (yes, the IDF used them too!), Libya, Syria, Egypt, Somali, etc,...
They were also used way past the 67 and 73 wars - just not front line units.
I don't think the Jordanians or the Iranians used the T34/85 though.

Thanks for the help . I had to dig for about 2 hours for the pic I was looking for . Some times these things are hard to find .

Is this the version you arte planning? If so it a model 69 (modernized T34-85) These had substantial improvements like IR driving lights, Self unditching system, Smoke cans on rear, t55 Starfish wheels, rubberized fuel bladders, etc....
