Aloha!!

Since we seem to be on the Leopard track lately I'd like to know if anyone knows who might be using the Leopard 1A4 variant presently-if anyone. I did a Google search and nothing came up. I know this variant was in built in less numbers than any of the other variants but does anyone know if Germany ended selling the 1A4 variants off to anyone else?

If you are looking for a use for the Italeri/Testors Leo 1A4 kit then your options are a Turkish Leopard-1A3T1/TU1, Danish Leo 1A5 using Accurate Armor/DanScale conversion or there are 2 different conversions for the Australian Leopard AS1(1A3). I think all of these are currently being used but I'm sure not for long.

According to my references, the Leopard 1A4 was the least popular Leo 1 but the visually similar 1A3 was used more.

I don't see anything in either conversion that would preclude them from being used on the Tamiya 1A4 kit. I could do some test fitting but the only thing that comes to mind is if the roadwheels in the 1A5 DK kit won't fit.

The AS1 intake screen requires a little bit of surgery anyway to fit on the Italeri hull so the Tamiya wouldn't be much different.
