I was planning the same thing a long time ago. Even made a tread about it. Never got to it though I had the kits. You beat me to it. Good job.

Excellent job James, its really come together, the only thing I can say is that they must have had some real thin guys to man the MG-34 in the front compartment......

Thanks SPerk15!
Despite going into detail about my carrier I didn't say how I did the base!
The main part is a picture frame with the glass and card reversed so that the glass is underneath. Wall filler was then used to sculpt the surface and a few old wheels/tracks used to add the ruts in the road. At this point the fence and signpost (From Tamiya's 1/35 and 1/48 road sign sets) were pushed into place and scenic gravel and rocks also added.
The base then had numberous coats of Tamiya acrylics in various shades of brown. Static grass was then added and given a wash of humbrol 29 and rocks and mud left exposed were dry brushed with a light brown to give them that dry summer look.
Think that was everything, as mentioned just pigments to go!

lol Mark,
A very valid point. However, I reckon that with the gun in its mount then all you'd need to do would be able to pull the trigger to get the deired effect!

Ok Bill you've sold me!
I'll endevour to write an article over the next week or so and get my girlfreind to shoot some photos of the finished peice (she's a photographer and so will do it better justice than myself!).
That means you guys who have faithfully followed my thread may have to wait a while before you see the whole thing completed!
Thankyou so much for all the support everyone, I hope the article will do it justice!
Cheers,
James

Good luck with the feature writing James, I'm sure you will do a great job with it.
I have a totally

question, do you remember a discussion on another thread about the German armoured railcars from Gunze/Dragon/Revell, both you and I mentioned them and someone else said something about needing a part from a particular etched set to lonk more than one together? I've searched and come up with nothing and was hoping you would remember.

Firstly, thanks Mark, i'll try and do my best. (and do it quick so you guys aren't waiting too long!)
Secondly, the discussion was I think in itself an

from the WIP 'Ye Ha! 1:35th Dora on my workbench' thread that is being run at the moment.
I'll send you a PM anyway.

If the finished diorama is half good as the work you've done on the carrier, it will be superb. Look forward to the article.
