I’m basically just venting out of frustration. Dragon’s M1A1 is a beautiful model and I’ve seen some truly impressive builds of it here, but the individual access panels on the rear deck are causing me fits. If you are facing the model head-on, the two small interlocking panels on the right hand side are of particular concern. I just cant get them to “sit right” without gaps and seems etc. Did anyone else have this problem or is it just my poor building skills?

Ya i had to hold my model for about half an hour to make sure it was in the right place.
and that was only the large deck peice.

Whats really worrying me is the lower hull is twisted really bad.
I thought this was ment to be a good kit as i comes from Dragon.
Not to metion the flash all over the peices.

Contact Dragoncare. Seems that you got a bad kit.
Hull in my two kits is not twisted and I don´t have any flash on the parts. It is known that a few kits had some problems with flash, but this is not a common thing.

very helpfull post

???

I gave you the link to Dragon Care where you can inform them about the twisted hull and they will most probably send you a replacement. Maybe there is a chance that they replace you the whole kit when you can prove the flash with some pictures.
If you don´t like my post, or find it useless, don´t post a reply.

I hate to be a Stooge but are you taking about the AIM kit Here.

If not disregard everything below this line.

If so mine is great the more I look the more I want to build it.

Has to be the greatest kit I have seen in a long time.

But as I wait on the Sep to be released I won't have room for 6 of them.

Again a great kit.

I have used mine to place parts on the Tamiya kit and also to apply the Anti slip.

Kit is killer.

Now only if they would do a USMC with plow

David,

I am very sorry! When I read your posting, it sounded very p***ed off and I thought you were not happy with this post, because it wasn´t very helpful for you.
Again, I am very sorry that I misunderstood it.

And yes, the tub from your kit looks a little off....
You should send this to Dragon Care.

Wow that's a pretty bad batch you got there. I'm currently building the same model and everything fits nicely. (so far)

Call and talk to Ramon I think was his name in the States.

Correct me people But I needed some Magic tracks for a T/34 and talked to him and bang $10.00 and 5 days latter sitting in my hands.

Sorry Mister but that hull is warped like no tomorrow and if I was you would not build it as the whole thing will be warped.

Mine is straight as an arrow

Must be a heat deal where stored in a hot place
