Technically, there are no Marine Corpsmen. The Marines take their medics from the USN. And from an article I found a while ago, no they didn't wear any identifying markings.

That said, there is an account of one here http://www.rt66.com/~korteng/SmallArms/corpsman.htm]The Korean Trench War, A Corpsmans Perspective

Here is the paragraph that would help you the most.

Quoted Text

In the field, in Korea, we (USN Corpsmen) were outfitted with 782 Gear, .45 automatic pistol model 1911A1 with two extra magazines, holster and a box of ammo. Thermo boots, field boots and all the other clothing and foul weather gear a Marine had. An M-1 Rifle, with ammo and a bayonet, and a K-Bar knife. Web belt and all the stuff you can hang on it, but always a canteen, containing chlorinated water for washing wounds. Sometimes, rifle grenades and launchers could be had. The first aid kit was carried in the rear to keep from being identified as a Corpsman by the gooks. Never any identifying red crosses or serum albumin cans (a blood volume expander) taped to the helmet, as you might see in the movies. Grenades, we kept in our pockets, or hung by a spoon on an outside strap (I never hung them on a strap). We liked concussion grenades, for tossing into trenches and bunkers, and they weren't as dangerous as fragmentation grenades.

Hi Kevin

Thank you sir. This is a big help. I almost made a big mistake. I started a figure last night that I was unsure if I should make him a Corpsman, or just a marinie helpping out. Thats when the thought hit me that I didn't know if they wore the red cross or not. I did know that the Corp gets thier Aidmen from the Navy. { One of only a few sailors that a Marine will admit to respecting}.
The article is a very big help, thanks again.
