...are there any threads on how to paint the new camo pattern on 1/35 scale figures? I'm not even sure if that is what it is called.

Depends on which you want. The US Marines have two "digital" patterns, one desert, one woodland both called MARPAT. Pete Becerra (EPI) made an article a little while ago for painting the Desert version Painting USMC MARPAT
There is also the US Army's ACU (Army Combat Uniform) which few modellers have tried, but in 1/35 wouldn't be too different from MARPAT in terms of painting technique. I am not familiar with the colors that need to be used. But if you use Pete's article, find some pictures (I recommend www.army.mil and click on images), figure out the colors, and mimic the pattern, it shouldn't be too hard.

Here is another article. It´s a 1/16 figure painted with humbrol, but I think this method could be used for 1/35 and other paint mediums without problems:

Hope this helps you.

HI,
here is a MARPAT i have painted.... not very detailed but it was worth the effort. I haven't written any article on it but if you want, you can write to me on how to paint and i will respond. Thanks.
